The Silver Hawk Band Program The Band program at Lovinggood consists of almost 400 students in grades six, seven and eight. The Silver Hawk Band program offers several opportunities for students including beginner band, intermediate and advanced band, percussion, woodwind and brass ensembles, and even a jazz band. Band begins in the 6th grade and students are placed in like-instrument classes. Students audition after completing their beginner experience in order to be placed into two separate performing 7th grade bands. After completing their 7th grade year, students audition once again for placement into two separate 8th grade bands.
